Brown KASA presents
The Korean Film and Food Festival
Sunday, November 11, 2007
3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Salomon Center 001
**FOOD AND ADMISSION ARE FREE**
We will be showing one documentary on North Korean refugees, two Korean films (The Host and JSA), and serving free Korean food!
Schedule of Events:
3:00 pm - Seoul Train (2004) - A gripping and powerful documentary on North Korean refugees. We are showing this as part of the North Korean Refugee Awareness Campaign in collaboration with Hanuri and Mission North Korea.
4:15 pm - The Host (2006) - Korea's #1 all-time box office record holder. Hailed as one of the best monster films ever made.
6:15 pm - FREE Korean Buffet - Catered by Ichiban Restaurant. We will be serving a variety of popular Korean dishes.
**In order to eat, you must attend either the 3:00 or 4:15 movie screening - we will be passing out vouchers at the entrance at those times**
While we eat, Samulnori - a traditional Korean percussion ensemble - will give a short performance in the lobby of the Salomon Center.
We will also be holding a RAFFLE for gift certificates to Ichiban restaurant before the 7:00 pm screening of JSA!
7:00 pm - JSA: Joint Security Area (2000) - From the director of Oldboy, Chan-wook Park, this critically-acclaimed film powerfully depicts the division - and similarities - between North and South Korea through the story of several soldiers at the DMZ.
9:00 pm - Korean Dessert - The festival will end with free servings of Korean rice cakes (dduk), crackers, and beverages.
Space is limited for this event - Salomon 001's maximum capacity is 224 people. Please arrive early to ensure admission.
This is KASA's largest event of the semester, so we would love to see all members and their friends show up!
Hope to see all of you there!

Party!
September 12, 2007
Thanks to everyone who came to the first GB — Hope everyone had a good time.
For those who couldn’t make it, come out next time!
Our first party of the year is on Friday from 10:30 pm to 2:00 am. Be sure to buy your ticket early and get a cheaper price — tickets are on sale at Faunce House (P.O.) from 10 am to 3 pm on Thursday and Friday.
A couple of important things for the party:
Dress code — dress sneakers, designer jeans, and designer t-shirts are okay. Other than that, guys should stick to nice slacks and collared shirts. For girls, just use your best judgment, but don’t expect to get in wearing flip-flops or old sneakers.
ID Requirement — Please bring an ID with your Date of Birth on it. An international ID is acceptable (official documents i.e. passports are best, of course), as long as it shows your birth date.
We’re expecting a big turnout on Friday night, and hope everyone has a good time!
See you all soon.

PROPER DRESS IS REQUIRED! For guys, this means no jeans (except for “designer” jeans), no sneakers (except for Diesels), and no t-shirts (except for “designer” t-shirts). Don’t ask us about all the exceptions — we’re only following what the club is telling us!
For girls, the code is a bit more lenient, but just be sure to wear nice shoes.
Also, you must present ID at the door to verify your date of birth. Brown IDs are NOT sufficient. Tantric has a strict policy of not allowing anyone in the club who has no ID.
